Wrexham's attempts to sign Christian Eriksen last summer are no secret, but the reason that transfer didn't go through was unclear - until now. "I reached out to the agent," Wrexham chief executive Michael Williamson said, "and what was really interesting in the first call is the reaction was, 'We don't want his story to be in a documentary because we've had plenty of opportunities for a documentary for his story.'"

Williamson insists his interest in Eriksen was purely down to his "footballing capabilities." The Danish midfielder, who suffered a cardiac arrest during a European Championship match in 2021, ended up joining Wolfsburg in September. ("That Wrexham Podcast")
