Top story: Ramsdale could stay in Premier League

Aaron Ramsdale suffered his third relegation with Southampton last season after previously experiencing that sinking feeling with Bournemouth and Sheffield United. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old goalkeeper remains a highly coveted player and is now the subject of transfer talks between his club and Newcastle United.

Southampton are seemingly relaxed about the situation, considering the possibility of keeping Ramsdale for next term, his departure in a straight sale, or him leaving on loan with a significant fee or with an option or obligation to buy. Ramsdale played for Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. (The Athletic)
