Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso saved a penalty and a follow-up attempt but he couldn't keep out an own-goal by Davide Zappacosta from the resulting corner as Leipzig salvaged a 1-1 draw in the Europa League quarterfinals on Thursday.

Musso denied Andre Silva from the spot in the 58th minute, and also denied Willi Orban from the rebound. Moments later, Zappacosta was under pressure from a corner and sent the ball into his own net in the first-leg match.

Luis Muriel's first-half goal gave Atalanta the lead after he cut into the box from the left to beat Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi with an angled shot into the roof of the net.

Both sides hit the woodwork twice.

Atalanta is bidding to become the first Italian club to win the competition since Parma won its predecessor, the UEFA Cup, in 1999.

In the other quarterfinals, Barcelona resumes its bid later Thursday to win the one European trophy missing from its collection with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt. Also, West Ham hosts Lyon, and Rangers visit Braga.

In the Europa Conference League, Ibrahim Traore scored with a backheel shot in the dying seconds of injury time for Slavia Prague to earn a 3-3 draw at Feyenoord in the first leg of the quarterfinals. It was the third encounter between the Dutch and Czech clubs this season.

Orkun Kokcu scored with a low free-kick four minutes before the end to put Feyenoord 3-2 up in an entertaining game in Rotterdam.

Luis Sinisterra scored his 20th goal of the season in all competitions to put the Dutch side ahead 10 minutes into the game. Slavia struck back with Peter Olayinka's equalizer before the break.

Forward Yira Sor put Slavia 2-1 up in the second half before defender Marcos Senesi equalized for the hosts, hitting the ball with his chest.

Feyenoord is in its first quarterfinal since winning the UEFA Cup in 2002. Slavia reached the quarterfinals in three of its last four campaigns in European competitions.

In the other quarterfinals, Bodo/Glimt hosts Roma, PSV Eindhoven visits Leicester, and Marseille hosts PAOK Thessaloniki later Thursday in the third-tier European competition.
