De Bruyne named Premier League Player of the Season
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been rewarded for his sensational campaign by being named the Premier League's Player of the Season.
De Bruyne led the league with 20 assists to equal the single-season record set by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. He also knocked in 13 goals in 35 appearances for a City side that finished second in the Premier League.

He becomes the third Belgian player to win the award since 2011-12, joining former City captain Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard, the latter of whom captured the honor during the 2014-15 season with Chelsea.
De Bruyne, 29, finished first in voting over Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, and Sadio Mane.
Southampton forward Danny Ings, Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy, and Burnley 'keeper Nick Pope were also nominated.
The winner was voted upon by fans on EA Sports' website, the captains from all 20 Premier League teams, and a panel of football experts.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was named Manager of the Year, while Alexander-Arnold earned Young Player of the Season honors.
De Bruyne won the award a day after his City side was knocked out of the Champions League in a surprising 3-1 defeat to Lyon on Saturday.
