One of the Premier League's most coveted young talents has their newest suitor.

Manchester City is reportedly joining the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea in showing interest in Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, with the Telegraph's Matt Law reporting that the runaway Premier League champions will launch a summer bid for the player.

Lemar was close to a move to England's top flight last summer before those talks dissolved in the transfer deadline's final days. Arsenal reportedly had a £90-million bid for the player rejected as the north London lot looked to secure a move for the France international as a replacement for outgoing Alexis Sanchez.

Instead, both parties stayed put, and with City's interest in Sanchez coming to a halt with the Chilean's move to rival Manchester United, it is understood that Pep Guardiola and Co. have turned their attention to Lemar. City was also previously interested in signing Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez as Guardiola looks to add another wide attacker.

"Of course we buy a lot of players and they have helped us a lot and next summer is to buy one or two players more," Guardiola offered. "So our market in the summer will be cheaper. If you want to compete at a high level of competitions you need the good players, and the good players make good managers, good clubs."

City has already conducted recent business with Monaco for the £52-million acquisition of Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva's £42-million switch to the Etihad.

Lemar has two years and change on his current deal with the principality club, and has scored 22 goals in 107 first-team appearances for Monaco following a move from Caen in 2015.
