Tottenham's Kane returns to training ahead of Real Madrid clash
Harry Kane's chances of featuring for Tottenham against Real Madrid improved with news of his return to training.
A hamstring injury forced the English striker to miss Tottenham's 1-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday, but manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed that it's "possible" Kane, who last played on Oct. 22, will be available for Wednesday night's contest at Wembley Stadium.
"It may be possible he can play tomorrow," Pochettino told reporters. "He trained today but it is important we make the right decision."
The team announced that the 24-year-old will be assessed ahead of the match to determine his availability.
Tottenham is ahead of Real Madrid on goal differential in Group H through three matches.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Raphael Varane's own goal was cancelled out by Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty just before the break.
