London - Huddersfield signed Switzerland defender Florent Hadergjonaj from Ingolstadt on a season-long loan on Thursday.
The Premier League new boys have the option to sign the 23-year-old right-back from his Bundesliga 2 side on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner believes Hadergjonaj will add valuable depth to his squad as they bid to avoid relegation in their first top-flight campaign for 45 years.
"It was important in this window that we found a real competitor for the right-back position and in Florent we have exactly the right player," Wagner said.
