Sevilla, Manchester City reach agreement in principle for transfer of Nolito
Nolito is one step away from leaving Manchester City.
On Saturday, Sevilla announced that Nolito will travel to Seville for a medical, and, if everything goes well, will sign with the Andalusian club for the next three seasons. An agreement in principle was reached with City.
In June, Nolito expressed a desire to abandon the Etihad Stadium, pointing to a lack of minutes, an aspiration of playing at the 2018 World Cup, a hard time with English, and the weather.
"I am under contract, so the club will decide, but I want to leave," the Spanish forward told El Transistor. "I haven't played in six months. I will do everything possible to make Spain's World Cup squad. I have learnt very, very little English - it's very hard. Just 'tomorrow,' 'good morning,' 'good afternoon,' and a little more. My daughter's face has changed colour - it looks like she's been living in a cave."
Nolito was limited to 19 Premier League appearances last season, 10 of which were as a substitute. The product of Celta Vigo only played 779 minutes in the league, tallying four goals and two assists during that time, a far cry from the numbers he was producing at the Galician club.

Nolito was spotted in an ice cream parlour with Sevilla's sporting director, but he insisted that they met by chance, saying: "I was just casually shopping for clothes for my wife in Seville. I went to get a coffee and bumped into Sevilla's director of football casually."
