Watch: Caballero, Courtois exchange howlers in manic 1st half
Neither Willy Caballero nor Thibaut Courtois will come away from Stamford Bridge feeling good about their performances Wednesday.
The Manchester City and Chelsea shot-stoppers each committed grave errors in the first half of their Premier League matchup. Caballero misjudged a shot from Eden Hazard to concede the opening goal, but Courtois one-upped his counterpart by gifting possession to the visitor ahead of Sergio Aguero's equaliser:
Caballero tried to redeem himself later in the stanza with a big stop on Hazard's penalty - only for the Belgian dynamo to follow up his spot-kick and restore Chelsea's lead.
Courtois' mistake was a bit more surprising considering his consistent form for the champion-elect. No other goalkeeper has recorded more clean sheets than Courtois' 13 this season.
