Crystal Palace is down £40,000 thanks to its own fans, who are believed to have accidentally vandalised the team's bus.
Before the team secured a 1-0 win Saturday over Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace supporters spray-painted "Crystal Palace FC" on the side of the black coach.
Unfortunately, the bus didn't belong to Middlesbrough as fans targeted the coach Friday when they spotted it parked outside a hotel in south London normally used by visiting teams.
A spokesperson for Crystal Palace told The Sun, "The team bus was covered in graffiti with the words 'Crystal Palace' overnight on Friday ahead of the game on Saturday. Police have been informed."
