Rooney returns to United training following bout with illness
Wayne Rooney could be available to feature during Manchester United's next match after overcoming an illness that kept him out of last weekend's win over Leicester City.
The club's all-time leading scorer - who was a late scratch ahead of last Sunday's meeting with the Foxes - managed to take part in Wednesday's training session as United prepares for this weekend's encounter with Watford at Old Trafford.

Although the exact nature of Rooney's illness was not disclosed, manager Jose Mourinho opted to rest the United captain ahead of what turned out to be a comfortable 3-0 triumph over the defending Premier League champion.
Rooney - who was also joined by Michael Carrick on the training ground after the midfielder also missed out on the Leicester fixture for an undisclosed reason - returns to a United squad that sits just two points back of the final Champions League qualifying spot.
The Red Devils will look to extend their unbeaten streak in the league which dates back to October when they take on Watford, who has gone unbeaten in its last four league matches.
