Wayne Rooney was left off Manchester United's squad list ahead of Sunday's match against Leicester City due to illness, the team announced.
The club didn't reveal the severity of the illness or a projected date for his return.
Meanwhile, it appears that Luke Shaw has been dropped from the team after failing to be named to manager Jose Mourinho's squad.

United will look to register its first Premier League win since Jan. 2 when it takes on the defending Premier League champion at King Power Stadium.
Mourinho's men sit four points back of Liverpool in sixth place with 42 points through 23 games, while Leicester hovers just one point above relegation.
