All of Senegal's exhilarating play throughout the Africa Cup of Nations ultimately went for naught, and cruelly, it was the side's most dynamic player directly responsible.
Easily the most impressive team through the group stage of the competition, Senegal's bid for a title ended with Saturday's quarter-final loss to Cameroon on penalties, as Liverpool star Sadio Mane saw his spot-kick palmed away by Joseph Ondoa.
Mane's was the only miss of the shootout.
Vincent Aboubakar promptly stepped up with his team's fifth effort, and made no mistake to send the Indomitable Lions to the semi-finals.
