Dwight Gayle can now be mentioned in the same breath as Newcastle legend Alan Shearer.
The 26-year-old became the first Newcastle player to score 20 goals in a season since Shearer in the 2003-04 campaign when he scored the opening goal Saturday against Brentford.
Unfortunately, Gayle wasn't able to add to his total after he was forced to leave the match eight minutes later through injury.
