Report: West Ham returns with improved bid for Hull's Snodgrass
West Ham has returned to the negotiating table with an improved offer for Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass.
After failing to land the Scot with a bid reportedly worth £3 million earlier this month, the Hammers are hopeful that a £5-million offer will be enough to convince Hull City representatives to offload Snodgrass, sources revealed to Michael Cantillon of Sky Sports.
The increased offer puts Hull in somewhat of a predicament, considering that Snodgrass has been a valuable contributor throughout an otherwise disappointing season.
However, the club could decide to finally sell the 29-year-old after he allegedly turned down a contract offer to extend his stay at the KCOM Stadium last month.
Snodgrass appears to be West Ham's second option after the club's interest in Sunderland forward Jermain Defoe were "immediately" rejected.
Hull sits at the foot of the table, having only managed three victories after 20 games played.
