Report: City confident Bravo, Kompany avoided injury setbacks
Manchester City can breathe a sigh of relief after learning star men Claudio Bravo and Vincent Kompany will be available for the Nov. 19 contest against Crystal Palace.
The Guardian's Jamie Jackson understands City expect the pair to travel to Croydon for the resumption of the Premier League.
Bravo suffered a hip injury during Thursday's World Cup qualifier against Colombia, leaving the match midway through the second half after trying his best to push through the pain.
Whether he can participate in Tuesday's contest against Uruguay is less certain.
Kompany, meanwhile, looked all set to make his first start for Belgium in more than a year before removing himself from the lineup Wednesday against the Netherlands.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez ruled the 30-year-old out of Sunday's qualifier against Estonia, presumably for precautionary reasons. There's no indication Kompany suffered a fresh injury concern ahead of the midweek friendly, however.
The longtime City skipper, vowing to pay more attention to his body, has made just two Premier League appearances this season. He's endured more than two dozen complaints since joining the side in 2008.
