Arsenal's Sanchez suffers injury scare in Chile training
Alexis Sanchez put Arsenal supporters on alert Tuesday after leaving Chile's training session with a "low-grade" muscular injury.
The ANFP confirmed the 27-year-old will undergo treatment in Santiago in hopes of playing against Uruguay next week.
Sanchez will, however, miss Thursday's meeting with Colombia.
The precise nature of the injury is of immediate interest to Chile, which is currently in a fierce battle in World Cup qualifying. Hanging onto the fifth and final berth in the CONMEBOL standings, La Roja first travels to Barranquilla before hosting Uruguay in Santiago on Tuesday.
Any setback could also harm Arsenal's pursuit of a first Premier League title in more than a decade.
He's become a surrogate striker for Arsene Wenger's side, acquitting himself well at the tip of the attack with six Premier League goals this season.
