Robin van Persie's dazzling volley against Aston Villa in 2013 was voted the best goal by other Premier League players to have registered at least 100 in their respective careers.
The former Manchester United forward won the Legends of Football award in London during a charity event Wednesday to celebrate the Premier League's 25th anniversary. Each member of the 100 club nominated what they believed their best Premier League goal was and voted to choose the best one overall.
Although the goal is undoubtedly a cracker, there's been some debate as to whether it's Van Persie's best. Countless critics online cited another volley he smashed in when he was with Arsenal from a similar distance, but with what appears to be a higher grade of difficulty, against Charlton in 2006.
