Allardyce sent out 'our journey has begun' postcards to England players same day he was sacked
England players were likely surprised to find an encouraging postcard signed by Sam Allardyce in the mail shortly after he was relieved of his duties as the national team manager on Tuesday.
The postcard, titled "The Journey has begun," was signed by Allardyce himself and read: "Well done! Our journey has begun with our first win together.
"Looking forward to seeing you soon."

The Telegraph reports the postcard was sent to each member of the team that defeated Slovakia in September - Allardyce's only match in charge during his 67-day reign.
It was unfortunate timing for Alladyce after he was filmed offering a fictional firm advice on how to manipulate third-party transfer rules, as well as negotiating a deal that would pay him £400,000 to represent a fictional firm.
"You couldn't make it up," an unidentified source told the Telegraph. "It was obviously meant as a nice gesture, but now the card will become a bit of a collector's item. It's priceless!"
