Report: Arsenal eager to retain Ospina as No. 2 'keeper
David Ospina is reportedly being endorsed to continue his career stay in north London by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
The Colombian faced a wave of criticism last season for a series of poor performances between the pipes in the opening month - most notably against Olympiacos in the Champions League when his struggles cost Arsenal points at home.
But, according to ESPNFC, Wenger continues to hold Ospina in high regard despite interest from Turkish champions Besiktas. The Frenchman is also said to be convinced the 27-year-old will provide a healthy challenge for Arsenal No. 1 Petr Cech ahead of the new season as the two compete for the right to start on a weekly basis.
Ospina was even included in the team's traveling party ahead of Arsenal's trip to the United States to play to pre-season friendlies.

Meanwhile, Arsenal 'keeper Wojciech Szczesny does not appear to be in the team's plans, as reports link the Polish international with another loan move to Roma, where he spent the 2015-16 campaign. He was also left off the squad traveling to the United States.
