Yaya Toure available to return from injury vs. West Brom
Manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Yaya Toure has recovered from a heel injury and could suit up Saturday for Manchester City against West Bromwich Albion.
The Ivorian began training regularly with City's first team Thursday, and could be in line to play his first match since March 20 against Manchester United.
"Yaya started working yesterday working with the squad - he’s recovered from his knee injury," Pellegrini told reporters. "He’s in the squad list and we’ll see tomorrow whether he’ll start or play some minutes."
His possible return Saturday could also lead to an appearance in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain. City hosts the French champions at the Etihad Stadium following an impressive 2-2 draw Wednesday in Paris.
Though he's been hampered by injuries this season, Toure has scored nine goals and added seven assists in all competitions.
