Cristiano Ronaldo missed Sunday's Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium due to a hip injury.
Edinson Cavani was also absent from Manchester United's matchday squad to face Manchester City, while Marcus Rashford - the only natural center-forward left in Ralf Rangnick's ensemble - was named on the bench.
United don't only have issues in attack. Defenders Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw weren't included due to positive COVID-19 tests, but Scott McTominay was able to return to the visitors' midfield.
