Leeds humiliated by FA Cup elimination to 4th-tier Crawley
Leeds United were turfed out of the FA Cup third round by League Two's Crawley Town on Sunday after falling 3-0 at Broadfield Stadium.
Nick Tsaroulla, Ashley Nadesan, and Jordan Tunnicliffe each scored past three-time Champions League winner Kiko Casilla in the second half to bag a fourth-round berth for Crawley.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, who faced the ignominy of Crawley introducing reality television star Mark Wright from the bench in the closing stages, will now focus solely on his side's Premier League endeavors.
2 - Since the Football League's fourth tier was added in 1958, Leeds' 3-0 loss at Crawley is only the second time a top-flight side has lost by 3+ goals to fourth tier opposition in the FA Cup, and first since Oxford United lost 3-0 to Aldershot in January 1987. "It's been tough for me," an emotional Tsaroulla, who was released by Tottenham Hotspur in 2018, told BBC Sport postmatch. "Anyone can come back from everything and I just hope that I can inspire somebody else out there."
Crawley will learn who their fourth-round opponent is when the draw is conducted before Stockport County host West Ham United on Monday.
