Odion Ighalo has been instructed to stay away from Manchester United's training base in Carrington as a coronavirus precaution, ESPN's Rob Dawson reports.

The 30-year-old striker was signed on loan from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua near the end of the January transfer window. He was already excluded from United's warm-weather training camp in Spain over concerns that he wouldn't clear immigration back into the United Kingdom if security was tightened amid the outbreak.

It's understood Ighalo has been working on a personalized training regime designed by United's staff at the National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester, which neighbors Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. He's expected to clear the 14-day incubation period after moving from China on Friday.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already said Ighalo will travel with his new teammates for Monday's match at Chelsea.

The coronavirus death toll has passed 1,300 in China, according to The Guardian. There have been no deaths in the U.K. but nine people have been infected.
