Hobbled Lukaku misses Juventus trip
Manchester United will be without striker Romelu Lukaku for Wednesday's pivotal Champions League group stage clash with Juventus.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho confirmed Lukaku's status, per the team, during Tuesday's presser, saying the towering Belgian goal poacher didn't make the flight to Italy due to injury.
The former Chelsea and Everton man now faces a race for fitness ahead of Sunday's derby at Manchester City. "(He's) injured. Injured for tomorrow and we don't know (if he will be fit) for Sunday," Mourinho offered.
Lukaku suffered a muscle concern in training Friday and missed the club's weekend date with Bournemouth. Alexis Sanchez was largely ineffective deputizing for the forward despite assisting on Anthony Martial's opener, the Frenchman's fourth goal in four league matches.
After slumping to a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, United sit second in Group H with four points, five adrift of Juventus and two up on Valencia, who travel to the Swiss capital to face Young Boys on Wednesday.
