Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly become Paris Saint-Germain's leading candidate to replace Unai Emery in the summer.

One of three names mentioned as a potential target alongside Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea's Antonio Conte, ESPN FC's Jonathan Johnson reports Allegri tops the capital club's wishlist thanks to Juve's successes on the continent.

Whether or not Juventus wants to let its three-time Scudetto-winning gaffer walk with a year and change left on his current deal remains to be seen.

Allegri, who has led the Bianconeri to two of the last three Champions League finals, is understood to have become PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi's No. 1 candidate after the runaway French league leaders failed to progress beyond the last-16 stage under Emery for a second successive season.

Emery was lured to the Parc des Princes on the heels of three Europa League titles on the trot with Sevilla, in hopes of leading French title shoo-in PSG to elusive Champions League glory. Last year's second-leg debacle against Barcelona and this season's dismissal at the hands of 2017 nemesis Real Madrid all but sealed his fate with his contract expiring this summer.

Conte, linked with a summer exit from Chelsea, has reportedly been shortlisted for the vacant Italy job, while Pochettino, who captained PSG during the early 2000s, appears likely to stay at Spurs ahead of the club's move to its new 61,000-capacity ground.
