Watch: Pepe shown yellow card for terrible bit of simulation

Whatever dignity Pepe had left coming into Saturday's match is likely gone after yet another incident where the Real Madrid defender simulated an injury.

The only difference this time compared to his long history of faking injuries in an attempt to deceive the officials is that Pepe's performance took place on football's biggest stage, the Champions League final.

After he and Filipe Luis leaped in the air to win the ball, Pepe tumbled to the ground as if he'd been shot, after the Atletico Madrid defender made the slightest contact with him in mid-air.

Luis' efforts to check-on Pepe resulted in another inane attempt to get his counterpart penalised. As the Atletico defender gave him a friendly tap on the cheek, Pepe buried his face in his hands as though he'd been punched, while simultaneously peeking over at referee Mark Clattenburg.

Clattenburg wasn't having it, and promptly warned the repeat offender.
