Friends forever.

Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres formed a devastating duo when the two starred together for Liverpool from 2007 to 2011, and with the latter set to partake in Saturday's Champions League final for Atletico Madrid, the English midfielder is throwing all his support behind his former teammate.

"I hope you achieve your life long dream tonight and become a champions league winner with your home town club. Good luck amigo," Gerrard wrote on Instagram.

Torres, 32, is in the midst of his best season in years, rediscovering some of the form that made him such a frightening attacker during his Anfield days.
