The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have inked veteran receiver Weston Dressler to a two-year contract, the team announced.

"Adding a veteran player with his skill set was really a no-brainer for us," said general manager Kyle Walters. "Coach O’Shea was immediately interested in adding him to our offensive lineup, and we’re very excited to have Weston on our side moving forward."

Dressler had spent the entirety of his eight-year career with Saskatchewan, but was released by the Roughriders earlier in the month.

The contract will pay him $170,000 per season, according to TSN's Gary Lawless.

The addition of Dressler provides stability to the Bombers' receiving corps, as the dynamic pass-catcher has accumulated 539 receptions for 7,797 yards and 50 touchdowns in his career.
