Stamps crush Lions in playoff preview
The Calgary Stampeders took the dress rehearsal, and now they'll set their sights on the real thing.
With postseason seeding already determined, the Stampeders easily handled the BC Lions 28-7 on Saturday, in a preview of next week's West Division semifinal.
Stampeders quarterback Drew Tate completed 18-of-22 passes for a game-high 231 yards, and two touchdowns. Anthony Parker had 122 yards on four catches, including a touchdown, and Lemar Durant finished with two touchdowns on three catches for 45 yards.
In possibly his final regular season start with the Lions, Travis Lulay was 14-of-20 for 181 yards as the Lions' offence failed to score single point. Receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris finished with a team-high 78 yards on three catches. The Lions' only points came courtesy of two field goals and a single from kicker Anthony Fera.
The Lions will travel to Calgary next week for the West semifinal on Nov 15.
