Argos top Alouettes, move into tie for 1st in East
The Toronto Argonauts defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 in a critical East Division showdown Monday afternoon.
With the win, Toronto moves into a first-place tie with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, while the Alouettes' loss damages their playoff hopes - they sit six points back of the Ottawa RedBlacks with only four games remaining.
Argos quarterback Trevor Harris managed the game well, finishing 16-for-21 with 182 yards and two touchdowns to go with one interception.
Montreal's quarterback issues continued Monday, as Rakeem Cato suffered a concussion late in the second quarter. Tanner Marsh and Anthony Boone weren't able to get the job done, each throwing an interception.
Next up, the Argos host the Calgary Stampeders in a battle of first-place teams, and things don't get easier for the Alouettes as they take on the Tiger-Cats.
