Rakeem Cato led the Montreal Alouettes to a 17-13 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with a 19-yard touchdown pass to S.J. Green.

The Tiger-Cats compiled a promising drive with less than a minute left, but Hamilton's Terrence Toliver fumbled while angling for extra yards, sealing the victory for the Alouettes. It was a wasted performance for Toliver, who ended up with six catches for 83 yards.

Cato went 23-of-34 for 264 yards and a touchdown in the victory, as Montreal moved to 2-2. Hamilton dropped to 1-2 with the loss.

Montreal jumped out to a 4-0 advantage in the first quarter after a single and a 22-yard field goal from Boris Bede.

Hamilton responded with a three-yard touchdown pass from Zach Collaros to Ray Holley. Collaros went 26-of-41 for a touchdown and three interceptions after being forced to leave the game briefly after a collision with his own offensive lineman.

The Tiger-Cats led 10-7 at halftime after Bede and Hamilton's Justin Medlock exchanged field goals.

Montreal defeated Hamilton at home for the 18th consecutive time.
