The Edmonton Eskimos announced Tuesday that they have signed international running back Chad Simpson.
Simpson has not played since the 2013 season with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In two seasons with Winnipeg, he ran for 1,620 yards on 281 carries scoring 11 touchdowns.
The signing comes one day after 2014 CFL All-Star John White was ruled out for the season after rupturing his Achilles tendon in practice.
