The Edmonton Eskimos announced that running back John White will miss the entire 2015 CFL season after rupturing his Achilles tendon at practice Sunday.

White was named a West Division and CFL All-Star after playing only nine games in 2014. He ran for 852 yards on 123 carries, scoring two touchdowns.

He was named Offensive Player of the Week following a 199-yard performance in Week 14 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Eskimos also announced the release of wide receiver Chad Bumphis, who joined the team's practice roster last October.
