Blue Bombers' Stoudermire breaks hand, no timeline for return
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers took a devastating hit Sunday, announcing that defensive back Troy Stoudermire broke his right hand.
The Bombers planned on utilizing Stoudermire's impressive adaptability this season. The Minnesota product told media Friday that he could fit in many areas on the field, as he has experience playing quarterback in high school, offense in college, and now defensive back in Winnipeg.
Head coach Mike O'Shea commented on Stoudermire's versatility when asked how he was adjusting to offense on Friday.
"He's picking it up very well. We're not doing him any favours by splitting him, we can help the team by getting him involved as much as possible, but there's two sets of meetings and two sets of instillation each night," he said.
Now, the Bombers will lose that all-around weapon for an unknown period of time.
