The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a contract with cornerback Delvin Breaux.
Breaux starred for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2014, but worked out for 13 other teams in hopes of making an NFL roster.
The Tiger-Cats released him from his contract Saturday, according to Evan Woodberry of The Times-Picayune. If he remained with Hamilton, the Saints would have had to wait until Feb. 10 to sign him, per the CFL-NFL agreement.
Breaux is expected to contribute to a Saints secondary that was torched routinely throughout the year.
