Weston Dressler has reportedly decided to return to the Saskatchewan Roughriders after his bid to make an NFL roster fell flat.
Dressler apparently signed a one-year, prorated $200,000 contract with Saskatchewan, turning his back on a reported $250,000 offer from the Ottawa Redblacks.
The 29-year-old recorded 6,531 receiving yards and 45 touchdowns in six seasons with the Roughriders, helping them capture the Grey Cup in 2013. He rejoins Saskatchewan with the team riding a five-game winning streak despite posting a West Division-worst average of 204.1 passing yards per game.
