5 fined by CFL for infractions

TORONTO - Linebacker Adam Bighill and defensive back Ryan Phillips of the B.C. Lions were among five players fined by the CFL on Wednesday.
Bighill was fined for leading with his helmet and making an illegal hit in the Lions' 20-16 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday night. Bighill was penalized on the play.
Phillips, Montreal Alouettes receiver Duron Carter and Saskatchewan receiver Rob Bagg were fined for tweeting critical comments about CFL officiating.
Defensive lineman Aston Whiteside of the Toronto Argonauts was also fined for making avoidable physical contact with an on-field official during the club's 41-27 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday night.
