The CFL Power Rankings are selected by a panel of theScore's football editors.

CFL action is in full swing, and there's only one undefeated team remaining through four weeks. Both the East and the West feature multiple clubs that have impressed thus far, but both divisions also feature winless teams.

1. Toronto Argonauts (3-0)

The reigning Grey Cup champions are off to a hot start to begin the year. The Argonauts picked off BC quarterback Vernon Adams a whopping six times on Monday night, downing the Lions 45-24 en route to being the CFL's last undefeated team. If Chad Kelly can continue to manage the offense and the defense continues to make big plays, the Double Blue could challenge for back-to-back titles.

2. BC Lions (3-1)

Recency bias could make this seem too generous, but the Lions had allowed just 21 points entering Week 4 while scoring 77. BC remained competitive for most of its loss to Toronto in spite of the plethora of turnovers and will look to bounce back next week against the Alouettes. Adams will need to rein in the turnovers moving forward, but Monday night's loss was an outlier after a stellar start to the campaign, and the club still ranks second in points allowed per game.

3. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3-1)

The reigning West Division champs stumbled in a 30-6 loss to the Lions in Week 3, but they rebounded for a 17-3 win over the Alouettes in Week 4 action. The offense has cooled off a bit since starting the season with back-to-back games with 40 points or more, but Winnipeg remains one of the CFL's strongest all-around clubs.

4. Montreal Alouettes (2-1)

Montreal is coming off a rough outing against the Blue Bombers, but Cody Fajardo has been one of the league's most efficient quarterbacks to start the year and Austin Mack has been one of the most explosive playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. On the defensive end, Ciante Evans is among the league's leaders in tackles and interceptions.

5. Saskatchewan Roughriders (2-1)

Saskatchewan's lone loss also came against Winnipeg, but the club has eked out two victories thus far and currently sits third in the West. Trevor Harris has done a good job of keeping the chains moving for the Roughriders, ranking among the league's best in both yards and touchdowns. Defensively, Larry Dean has excelled at bringing down ball carriers, owning 23 tackles through three games.

6. Calgary Stampeders (1-2)

Malik Henry and Micah Awe are doing their best to keep the Stampeders afloat, but the team is still on the wrong side of .500 and one game away from the West basement. Quarterback Jake Maier flashed in the team's lone win against the Redblacks in Week 2, completing 67% of his attempts for 332 yards and a major. However, he completed just 56% of his passes in Week 1 and 51% in Week 3, and he could be in danger of losing the starting job if the team continues to falter.

7. Ottawa Redblacks (1-2)

Ottawa is still sporting a positive point differential despite its 1-2 record, but that's mostly due to the defense. The Redblacks haven't allowed more than 26 points in each of their three games, but they've also failed to eclipse 26 points on offense. Finding a way to improve the team's explosiveness will go a long way in determining the team's ceiling as the season continues.

8. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-3)

Former MOP Bo Levi Mitchell is on the six-game injured list, and the Tiger-Cats are on a three-game skid to open the 2023 campaign. Wideouts Tim White (258 yards) and D'haquille Williams (260 yards) have produced in spite of the change under center, but they're among the few bright spots on a roster that's failed to keep pace with the teams atop the CFL East.

9. Edmonton Elks (0-4)

Things in Edmonton are rough. The Elks have been outscored 108-51 through four contests, and their negative-57 point differential is the worst in the league by a hair. Finding some sort of stability at quarterback has to be the team's primary goal after Taylor Cornelius, now-released Kai Locksley, and Jarret Doege have taken snaps. Canadian pivot Tre Ford, who has been a healthy scratch on multiple occasions, could be up next if Doege doesn't right the ship.
