Eskimos hire Milanovich as next HC
The Edmonton Eskimos announced the hiring of Scott Milanovich as the team's next head coach.
Milanovich led the Toronto Argonauts from 2012-16 and has been working as the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks coach over the last three years.
Edmonton fired Jason Maas in November after four seasons at the helm. Maas' squad finished fourth in the West at 8-10 but made it to the division finals before losing to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Milanovich led the Argos to a Grey Cup victory in 2012 - his first season at the helm. He was named CFL Coach of the Year following the campaign.
Known for his work with quarterbacks, being a former passer himself, the 46-year-old also spent time with the Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders as an assistant.
Milanovich will look to lead the Eskimos to their first Grey Cup since 2015.
