Trent Richardson will make his CFL debut Saturday when the Saskatchewan Roughriders visit the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field.
Head coach Chris Jones told TSN on Tuesday that the former third overall NFL draft pick will see action in the contest, a week after signing with the club.
The former Alabama star hasn't played football since the 2014 season when he appeared in 15 games for the Indianapolis Colts. The 27-year-old finished that year with 519 yards and three touchdowns on just 3.3 yards per carry.
The Riders are certainly hoping Richardson's addition can spark their dormant ground attack, as Saskatchewan ranks last in the CFL with only 907 yards rushing this season.
