The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added a former CFL All-Star and Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
Former Montreal Alouettes defensive back Jovon Johnson was one of three players to be signed to the Riders' practice roster, the team announced Monday, returning Johnson to the same team he broke into the league with in 2007.
Johnson, now 33 years old, was named a CFL East All-Star in 2015 and was a serviceable weapon in the Alouettes' secondary last season, recording 59 tackles, six sacks, and three interceptions.
Over the course of 11 seasons, Johnson has suited up for the Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Ottawa RedBlacks, and Alouettes.
