RedBlacks' Burris named Grey Cup MVP

Ottawa RedBlacks quarterback Henry Burris was named Grey Cup MVP after leading his team to a 39-33 overtime victory over the Calgary Stampeders.

It's an amazing story for the 41-year-old, who nearly missed the game entirely when his knee locked up during warmups. Burris managed to take the field Sunday and put on a performance for the ages, throwing for 461 yards and three touchdowns.

This marks the second Grey Cup MVP for Burris, who also captured the award in 2008 with the Stamps.

It was a conclusion that seemed improbable only two months ago, as Burris wasn't even the starting quarterback for Ottawa at the time and the RedBlacks were simply battling to stay above .500.
