Calgary's rookie head coach Dave Dickenson was named CFL Coach of the Year on Thursday, winning over Ottawa RedBlacks head man Rick Campbell.
Dickenson coached the Stampeders to a 15-2-1 record, the second most wins in CFL history and most wins by a first-year head coach.
Calgary had the league's highest-scoring offence, while also possessing the No. 1 defence.
In his first season at the helm, Dickenson also guided the Stamps back to the Grey Cup, after winning in 2014 as Calgary's offensive coordinator.
