Argos release Gurley, 3 others

The Toronto Argonauts released receiver Tori Gurley on Monday in a roster shakeup, the team announced. Fellow receivers Vidal Hazelton, Kevin Elliott, and Phil Bates were also released.
Gurley is by far the biggest surprise among those let go, as the wideout sat third on the team in receiving yards with 509 and led the squad with five touchdown grabs.
After 10 touchdowns last season, many felt Gurley would be the go-to target for Toronto in 2016, but receivers Kenny Shaw and Diontae Spencer overtook him in the receiver pecking order.
