The Ottawa RedBlacks will be fined for a roster violation involving a player on the injured list participating in practice, a league source told TSN's Gary Lawless.
The charge stems from a player working out on the field with a practice-roster player, which is illegal according to league rules. The RedBlacks were fined $5,000 and will also receive a charge on their salary cap, according to Lawless.
The RedBlacks are the second team fined for a roster violation this year, as the Saskatchewan Roughriders were docked $60,000 for using ineligible players at practice earlier this season.
