Report: Alouettes' Duron Carter to have appeal hearing Thursday
Devaan Ingraham / Reuters
Duron Carter's appeal hearing will finally take place on Thursday, according to Gary Lawless of TSN.
The Montreal Alouettes receiver was suspended one game back in June after bumping into Ottawa RedBlacks head coach Rick Campbell following a touchdown catch. Carter appealed the ban on June 19, but had yet to have a hearing regarding the incident.
The 25-year-old was on the receiving end of a big hit after the touchdown catch and claimed he didn't realize that he bumped the coach.
Montreal will take on the RedBlacks this Friday, so Carter could be forced to sit out if a ruling is reached quickly.
