Stampeders send defensive back McDonald to Roughriders

The Calgary Stampeders dealt defensive back Brandon McDonald to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for the rights to a negotiation-list player.
McDonald has recorded 65 tackles and four interceptions over the past two seasons.
Prior to joining the CFL, he played six seasons in the NFL, registering 178 defensive tackles.
Saskatchewan has a bye in Week 1, while Calgary travels to B.C. to face the Lions.
