Christmas is just around the corner, and it's safe to say most Borussia Dortmund supporters will be hoping their rival Schalke fans get nothing more than a lump of coal in their stockings.
With no love lost between the adversaries of the Ruhr Derby, a Schalke fan with a scaffolding background got to the top of a massive Christmas tree at Dortmund's world-famous holiday market, planting a team flag atop the 45-metre sapling.
The flag was removed shortly thereafter, but the damage has been done, with locals seething at the prospect of a blue and white flag adorning the spectacle at the centre of their town square.
