Augsburg secured a place in next year's Europa League courtesy of Pierre Hojbjerg's thunderous shot that brought the visitors level before capturing a 3-1 win against Borussia Monchengladbach.
The club secured an automatic berth and will compete in the tournament for the first time after finishing the season in fourth position with 49 points.
Victory, however, was a distant thought when Augsburg went into the break down a goal. They had to wait until almost 30 minutes after halftime before Hojbjerg sent the traveling support into a frenzy.
Hojbjerg, on loan from Bayern Munich, unleashed a shot from close to 25 yards out that zipped past the 'keeper and into the top corner.
